MOSCOW, August 25, Rossiya Segodnya Press Center – The first exhibition of the winning entries of the Andrei Stenin International Photo Contest, which is organized by Rossiya Segodnya under the patronage of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, will be held at the Lumiere Brothers’ Center for Photography in Moscow.
The exhibition includes over 200 of the best entries by young photographers from 14 countries, including Russia, China, India, Spain, Italy, Serbia and Greece, and will be open from September 8 to 17, 2017. Admission will be free during the gallery’s working hours.
The photographs portray the stories of ordinary people, capture events from the life of big cities and countries, as well as document vivid scenes from sports and ethnic festivals. The Lumiere Brothers’ Center for Photography will be the first venue to show the winning entries, after which the exhibition will tour Russia and other countries.
The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest aims to support young photographers and to draw public attention to the challenges of photojournalism in today’s world.
