The International Roadshow of the Stenin Contest 2024 continues in India
07 / 04 / 2025The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest 2024 exhibition tour has made another stop, this time showcasing the winning works in New Delhi. On Friday, an exhibition of over sixty prize-winning photographs opened at the AIFACS Gallery, a renowned art venue in the capital of India.
Organized with the support of the Representative office of Rossiya Segodnya media group in New Delhi, the exhibition features singles and series by winners from India, Russia, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Myanmar, Syria, South Africa and other countries. The AIFACS Gallery will host the exhibition until April 10, with free admission for visitors.
The opening ceremony was attended by Olga Dycheva, head of the representative office of the Rossiya Segodnya media group in New Delhi; Alexander Shtol, executive director of the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest; Roman Babushkin, Minister Counsellor of Russian Embassy in India; and prominent Indian media leaders - Navneet Kumar Sehgal of Prasar Bharati and Rishabh Gulati of NewsX. Distinguished guests included representatives from India's media, politics, academia, cultural figures and renowned photographers.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Alexander Shtolreflected on India's unparalleled contributions to the contest:
"India stands as a beacon among international participants with its record-breaking submissions. Each year we see profound and thought-provoking works that delve into environmental issues, political and ethnic clashes, social challenges and, of course, the lives of ordinary people, capturing their joys and struggles in a rapidly changing world. I hope this exhibition will further ignite the passion of Indian photographers for telling stories through our contest."
Olga Dycheva, head of the media group's New Delhi office, emphasized the importance of cultural bridges:
"Events like today's exhibition highlight the importance of not only political and economic cooperation, but also cultural exchange between countries. Through their lenses, young photographers bring nations closer together by sharing their unique perspectives on the world".

Since its launch in Moscow in October 2024, this year's roadshow has traveled to cities including Belgrade (Serbia), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Cape Town and Pretoria (South Africa), Beijing (China), and Sharjah (United Arab Emirates). Future exhibitions are planned in cities across the Middle East and Southeast Asia with the support of international partners, celebrating photography as a universal language that transcends borders.
