Pakistan pays tribute to Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin

An exhibition honoring the works of Rossiya Segodnya photojournalist Andrei Stenin has opened at the Russian House in Karachi, marking the anniversary of his death on August 6, 2014, in Donbass while on assignment. The display features 30 striking and emotional photographs that chronicle the conflict in Donbass, capturing both the devastation of war and the resilience of ordinary people caught in its midst.

The event was attended by Ruslan Prokhorov, Head of the Russian House in Karachi, Fazil Jamili, President of the Karachi Press Club, along with members of Pakistani and international media.

In tribute to Stenin’s legacy, Rossiya Segodnya established the annual Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest in 2014.
