Exhibition of Andrei Stenin contest winners opens in Novosibirsk
An exhibition featuring the works of winners of the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest, established by the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency, has opened at the Novosibirsk State Art Museum.
The exhibition showcases 69 award-winning photographs from various categories, spanning the contest’s history since its launch in 2014.
The featured photographers represent 23 countries, including Russia, France, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Egypt, Turkiye, Iran, Palestine, China, India, Thailand, the United States, and Brazil.
Speakers at the exhibition’s opening included Olesya Dodonova, Head of the Museum’s Exhibition Department; Yevgeny Ivanov, Chairman of the Novosibirsk Regional Branch of the Union of Art Photographers of Russia and Grigory Dukor, Adviser to the Photo Information Directorate of the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency.
In particular, the speakers noted that the contest has become an important international platform that has introduced many emerging talents in contemporary photojournalism.
Through the contest, young photographers document some of the most pressing issues facing humanity, highlight efforts to preserve cultural traditions and the environment, and draw attention to important social challenges.
The exhibition will run from June 19 to August 16, 2026.
