36 July Uprising
In July 2024 in Bangladesh, a significant student-led protest movement "Anti-Discrimination Student Movement" occurred in Bangladesh that focused on the call for getting rid with the government job quota system. The movement became stronger when the Prime Minister's declaration that the protests were "unjustified". Violence, injuries, and deaths resulted from conflicts among students, the police, and members of the ruling party. As a result, the government established a countrywide curfew and closed universities temporarily. An internet blackout was implemented as the situation got worse. According to the OHCHR has revealed that around 1,400 people were killed during the July 2024 uprising in Bangladesh. The major violence and government crackdowns that characterized the protests ultimately played a role in the 15-year rule of the ruling party coming to an end.

A Nickel Rush Threatens Indonesia’s Last Nomadic Tribes and Its Forest
The country holds nearly half of the world’s known deposits of a metal critical to the energy transition, but digging &smelting it is leading to deforestation, flooding and contamination. The expansion of nickel mining operations is contributing to deforestation, which is reducing the available living space of the indigenous tribe in the forests of Halmahera. Here you can see how the impact of a massive nickel mining &smelting industry destroyed thousands of hectares of forest land, forcefully displaced local people, and polluted the air &water from the plant for many years. They are all part of the Indigenous O’Hongana Manyawa. “People of the forest” in their language. they are one of the last nomadic, hunter-gatherer tribes in Indonesia. Always dependent on the dense forests of Halmahera for their livelihood, tribes has developed customs that respect the jungle &its contents and protect them from various threatening activities.

Gaza, Echoes of Genocide
Gaza is not just a war zone; it is a land where genocide echoes through every shattered home and every grieving family. Relentless airstrikes turn entire neighborhoods into mass graves, leaving civilians trapped in an inescapable nightmare. Families flee through ruins, carrying what little remains of their lives, while others dig through rubble, searching for loved ones buried beneath destruction. Hospitals, once places of healing, are overwhelmed with the wounded, as doctors battle to save lives with no medicine or supplies. Children, covered in dust and blood, stare blankly witnesses to horrors beyond comprehension. Funeral processions never end, as fathers carry their lifeless children in their arms, their cries lost in the silence of a world that refuses to act. Yet, amidst this devastation, Gaza endures. From the ruins, prayers rise, the displaced struggle to survive, and the people refuse to be erased. These images are a testament to resilience a cry for justice in the face [А1]
A dense plume of black smoke rises from a densely populated residential neighborhood in southern Gaza following intense Israeli airstrikes that caused massive destruction to homes and infrastructure. The image illustrates the sheer destructive power of the attacks, which left civilians with no chance to escape or seek shelter, as the airstrikes enveloped the area in a suffocating cloud of smoke and dust, turning daily life into an ongoing nightmare.

A Life In Time
A Life In Time: The old watch repairman's hands, wrinkled and worn, move with precision, as if frozen in time. His eyes, clouded with age, still sparkle with a passion that once defined an era. In a world where time is now a digital concept, he remains steadfast, a relic of a bygone age. Generations of his family have dedicated their lives to fixing time, but now, his craft is slowly becoming a relic of the past. As he works, surrounded by the ticking of clocks and the soft glow of lamplight, he seems oblivious to the world outside. His mind remains in the golden age of watchmaking, where every tick and tock was a symphony of precision. But time waits for no man, and the world outside is moving faster than ever. Despite the dwindling demand for his craft, he persists, driven by a dedication that borders on stubbornness. His workshop, a testament to a forgotten era, is a time capsule, where the past and present coexist in an uneasy harmony.

Heroism can be revealed not only on the battlefield, but also in everyday life. For many soldiers, the front line leaves lasting marks: wounds and injuries become part of their reality. That’s why, for many veterans, recovery means quite literally learning to walk again. In this journey, sport plays a vital role. It aids physical rehabilitation and, just as importantly, helps individuals rediscover their purpose, their strength, and a new sense of identity after returning home. This documentary series was filmed at the Challenge for the Champion running school, held at the Ortho-Sport Adaptive Sports Center. It tells the stories of those who embody true resilience: heroes who defend the Motherland on the frontline, but also those who find the courage to resrart their lives and move forward.

They’ll Simply Be Killed
In July 2023, a law came into force in Russia allowing local parliaments to decide what to do with stray animals. The law was claimed to protect people from stray dogs, but animal rights activists believe that the law has legitimized mass killings. Buryatia, Altai, Transbaikal, Magadan and Astrakhan regions have adopted local initiatives allowing killings. In early January, employees of the Buryat veterinary department killed 18 animals at the Ananda shelter. Animal rights activists and volunteers urgently began to evacuate dogs from Buryatia. Volunteers from the Sobaka Schastya charity foundation help evacuate animals to regions where euthanasia is not permitted. Some are immediately placed with families; others remain in foster homes or shelters. Dogs are transported in baggage cars, after prior arrangements with caring conductors.

Whisper in Silence
The series of photographs shows the life of girls at the Nikolo-Solbinsky Convent. The convent houses an orphanage, a school, and a college where children are taught moral guidelines and spiritual values within the Orthodox traditions. Nurturing virtues, forging character, and instilling discipline are key aspects of their education. The nuns are not just mentors but also caring guardians who pour love and attention into the young girls in the convent, who, in turn, respond to this. However, despite the sincere relationships, life in the convent is associated with certain difficulties and strict rules, which emphasizes the influence of religious statutes on the development of personality. The photographer invites the viewer to think about how religious institutions influence the development of personality and what it means to grow up and learn in an environment like this.

The black and white photograph isn't just an image; it's a poignant tribute to the unwavering spirit of Indian brick kiln workers. The stark contrast between light and shadow amplifies the depth of their struggle, etched on their dust-laden faces and hands. Every wrinkle and line tells a story of unwavering dedication, a silent testament to their fight for a better tomorrow, not just for themselves, but for their loved ones. Despite the backbreaking work and meager earnings, their eyes hold a spark of resilience, an unyielding determination that continues to inspire the nation. Their story, though challenging, is a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of hardship, hope, and above all, the enduring human spirit. With each passing day, they rise before dawn, toiling in the scorching heat, their sweat and toil fueling the nation's growth. Their selfless labor builds the foundation of our society, a testament to their unbreakable will. In their eyes, aglimmer of hope shinesbright, illum

The beauty of Mount Bromo which is located in the Mount Semeru area is indeed famous to foreign countries. On October 29, the rains from a DANA (isolated high-altitude depression) caused ravines and rivers to overflow, flooding dozens of towns in the province of Valencia and resulting in 227 deaths and causing incalculable material damage. Documentation of date palm jaggery
Date Palm Tapping begins with the tapping of date palm trees where farmers climb the trees and make cuts in the bark to extract the sap, known as khejur rosh. The sap is collected overnight in earthen pots called gharras, which are hung from the trees, and are sweet with a distinct flavor. The collected sap is then transferred to large pans and boiled over a wood fire, requiring careful attention to prevent burning. As it boils, the sap thickens and caramelizes, turning into a rich, golden-brown syrup. Once it reaches the desired consistency, the syrup is poured into molds or containers to cool and solidify, transforming into the thick, fudgy jaggery known as Nolen Gur. The final product is stored in earthen pots or containers to preserve its flavour and aroma. Nolen Gur is cherished for its unique taste and is often used in traditional Bengali sweets like sandesh, roshogolla, and payesh. It is a symbol of Bengal’s rich cultural heritage and winter traditions.
